Default Unable to update to Apache 1.3.28

We have ran EasyApache several times over, but still, it never updates to 1.3.28 and the FrontPage module never updates also.

What is going on? Why are we still getting 1.3.27 when WHM keeps reporting 1.3.28 is available?

Maybe check you are reading the correct information. From shell /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -v to check version.

In phpinfo printout I belive it might report 1.3.27 even if 1.3.28 but it is plainly wrong. Longer down anyway it shuld say 1.3.27

Anyway pardon me if I am wrong but it does not hurt to do a /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -v to check the version.

Thanks for the tip and i have

    root@srv07 [/home/admin]# /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -v
    Server version: Apache/1.3.27 (Unix)
    Server built: Jul 9 2003 03:27:52
    root@srv07 [/home/admin]#

Even the build date is wrong. Build date should have been yesterday July 29. July 9 is the date i bought the box. Its as if i didnt even compile the box. Strange.

Negative, this is a virgin install. First compile was yesterday to bring it back up to the latest! Cpanel asked if we ran updatenow first. I though it runs updatenow as soon as you run easyapache at least i thought i saw it run and if it didnt and its required to run prior to easyapache it should be included as part of the run.

Same again, they need to get their bloody acts together I'd say. All those who say, "ye but it works for me, i never have any problems", are the people who have one server and cannot compare amonst many.
