Uninstall Exiscan+Clam+Exim Autoinstaller

I am starting this thread because I am tired of going through 9 million posts on the Exiscan+Clam+Exim Autoinstaller thread.

All this tread is for is for someone who wants to Uninstall Anand's version in favor of the version supplied by cpanel, or those who have installed cPanels addon on top of Anand's and are having problems.

So, for question 1, how does one uninstall all instances of Anand's version from a particular machine? I'll try to come back with an answer but it would be nice if Anand had a comment here.

You want to remove the old installer or the new one ?

The old and new both uninstallers are in the new version which is available through the website. However since you just want to remove them here is how you can do it.

Get the attached script, upload to the server, chmod 700, run the script.

This should remove the clam which was installed by the cpanelappz installer. If you still face problems do let me know.

Just thought it would be better to point out the things i said in the thread here. The cpanelappz installer installs 0.86rc1 and not 0.73 version of clam.

Anyways as i said in my PM, if you need help i would be glad to help remove it from your box. Let me know.

Here's what we did for a box that someone install the cPanel clamavconnector over a .73 version of Anand's version.

1. First, uninstall the cPanel version
2. Run Anands removal script above
3. Remove the clamav line from the first box of the exim configuartion editor.
4. Change the middle box of the acl information back to the defaults provided by cpanel in the exim config editor
5. /scripts/eximup --force

That brought us back to the defaults. then you can re-install Anand's or cPanel's version provided your errors are gone from tailing the exim_mainlog.

np You can also run /scripts/reseteximtodefaults to remove the lines from the exim configuration editor. It will also ensure you are clean of any other errors as well (just to make sure)
