    Angry Uninstalling/removing WHM 9.9.9 cPanel 9.9.9-R70

Whats the best/cleanest way of removing this without reinstalling the OS ?

I've had a look around the forums and not seen anything on this.

There is no clean and complete way to remove it without a reinstall. There is a thread about it here where someone gave a list of what to remove and change if desperate, but things will not be the same as they were because cpanel makes changes to some parts of the system.

If you really HAVE to remove without a reinstall, you better get an experienced cpanel sys admin to go in and do it otherwise you will probably have problems.

    Thanks for the reply.

$70 is a good incentive to remove without reinstalling (which is what it'll cost me),

Who would be a good person to ask ?

squirrel is an excellent and experienced cpanel system administrator, you should PM him and ask him his price. There also a few other great Admins here on this forum. Maybe you should post in the offers / request board.

Thanks for the compliment, but I'm not quite at the stage yet where I would feel safe removing cpanel for someone. If I had to do it myself, I might, but even then I'd probably choose to just reinstall.

Post a request in the ad forum explaining that you do not want to reinstall and you will get replies. Many will say you have to reinstall, but there should be someone who will just clean up.

Reinstalling your OS would be the best bet in this situation. Since cPanel effects many system critical files... and cant be "completly" removed, and as far as i know, there is no documentation of this... Usally your datacenter would do this for a small charge, maybe even free. Maybe put a request into cpanel for making an uninstallation package? But either way good luck to you :-).
