Default Unlimited domains hosting on Cpanel/WHM

I have seen a few hosting companies in the world who are providing unlimited domains hosting with unlimited web space and unlimited databases to customers on Cpanel/WHM servers. They say they allow unlimited add on domains per account. How it is possible considering that there are always limitations on the hardware with regards to the performance and also the hard drive size limits? Is it possible to have a clustering of Cpanel/WHM servers with SAN or GFS storage?

    Default SAN or NFS

    Hello,

Unfortunately SAN or NFS is not currently supported with cPanel. This is not to say it will not work, however I have seen quite a few people trying it online and none that are successful. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

    Thank you,

Networked storage goes beyond what we currently support. However, you are welcome to attempt to implement this yourself at your own risk. Many folks usually use iSCSI as that's been found to work best on cPanel/WHM servers, despite lack of support for it.

Does it mean people selling unlimited domains, space and databases on cpanel/WHM server are fooling customers?

Yes... It is the biggest load of junk that web hosts try to push to get more accounts.

Most hosts will say that the storage of files have to be only web related and that multimedia can only attribute to 70% of the total storage.

    Edit:
on a side note I think it would be funny if WHM had a popup saying "Nobody in the industry thinks your plans are cool." when you try to setup a package with unlimited disk space.

Even large hosting companies like OnlineNIC are doing the same.
