    Default ERROR: Open3 - fails at /scripts/safeyum at line 4.. HELP!

    Hey

    I set the server to use mysql 4, then went to Update server software...

    I get this error:


    open3: exec of yum -y install pine gd gd-devel gd-progs expect freetype freetype-devel gnupg lynx ucd-snmp ucd-snmp-devel ucd-snmp-utils wget sharutils bind bind-devel bind-utils openssl openssl-devel openssl-misc openssh openssh-server openssh-clients XFree86-devel XFree86-libs mysql4 mysql4-server mysql4-client libgd1 libgd1-devel gd-utils perl-CPAN gcc libmysqlclient10-dev failed at /scripts/safeyum line 4


    Any ideas on how to fix?

    Exact same issue here... I'll submit a ticket w/cpanel.

    Hey

    I got a VPS, and the guys there submitted a ticket too, they said they will keep me up to date on it

    Although, great tech guys they got all near enough what i wanted installed

    Now im having BIND reload issues:
    Adding an A entry for nameserver ns1.DOMAINREMOVED.com
    IP=69.10.149.189 Bind reloading on matrix using rndc zone: [DOMAINREMOVED] Error reloading bind on matrix: rndc: connect failed: connection refused Add Complete

    bah... lol

    Hey

    And thats the brill tech man that fixed it up with postgre, gd, etc...

    Fixed the bind error with:
    /scripts/fixndc

    I think... :P

    just run "/scripts/sysup" from the shell and everything will go smoothly

    sysup was reporting the yum error as well. I'm forced to concede that I hadn't checked if yum was installed. Needless to say, it wasn't.

    rpm -Uvh http://ftp.freshrpms.net/pub/freshrp....fr.noarch.rpm
