Default Upgrade whm as suggested in whm news

I did the initial disabling of allowing users to changes passwords via email, as suggested yesterday. Had no problems there.

This morning I have a new message in my news advising to upgrade to 'new build (9.1.0 build 49 or later) which has a proper fix'. I'd like to do that, but am concerned that if I do, I'll have to start dealing with the new DNS stuff being discussed in this thread...

    http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread....threadid=20609

My ignorance may just be confusing stable with edge releases and stuff. Does anyone have any advice to offer?

    Currently I have...

    WHM 8.8.0 cPanel 8.8.0-R10__
    RedHat 8.0 - WHM X v2.1.2

...running pretty well. I'd like to stay secure but sure don't want to get into a dns mess, possibly causing issues with my NOC host who is providing secondary dns for me.

Do I have to worry about the new dns management model if I do the upgrade that whm news is recommending?

    Thanks,

I'd also like to know about this as I am currently running the update which you mentioned. I currently have:

    WHM 8.8.0 cPanel 8.8.0-R123
    FreeBSD 5.1-RELEASE-p12 - WHM X v2.1.2
    on P4-2.6/1GB RAM

You have to manually change to the new version of dns clustering.
If you just update, you will have the system, but you will still USE the old one.

Is this still necessary if you only have 1 server (no clustering) or is it still recommended?
