    Default upgrading mysql

Updated mysql to 4.1.21 yesterday and received mysql errors on one server and a crashed mysql on the other. I found that restarting mysql solved all problems.

If you upgrade mysql my advice is to restart mysql afterwards - it will save you some grief.

    Post Any suggestions

Appreciate your post on the upgrade.

I am a shared hosting user, and my hosting provider uses 4.1.21 Standard for our accounts. I use Mantis on my space.

Mantis is unable to sort and it turned to be a problem with MySQL 4.1.21 Standard (http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=21456). When requested to my Hosting provider, they refused to upgrade or downgrade, do you have any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

My suggestion would be a new host. A patch is available, why won't they apply it?
