    Default Upload only FTP pls help

    i want to create one ftp account with upload only option and one admin account for full access read write del everything. just like a ftp server or something on my dedicated server.

    how can i do that ?

    thats nothing to do with cpanel. try using other ftp daemons such as glftpd (www.glftpd.net) or ioftpd (er, wait, was ioftpd for windows? ahh, im confused, oh well, listing it here just in case anyone is interested). they support virtual users. not sure if proftpd does, but even if it does, i wouldn want to mess with it... touch == break =P

    Unless you plan on manually modifying the permissions substantially on all of the directories (this is unix after all), you'll pretty much be limited to creating a single directory with write permissions only for that single user. Unix/Linux is far more secure than Windows (where it would be quite easy to accomplish your task [and far less secure]).

    I installed glftpd (on a new system, had it on my old and never had this problem) and when i make a new account... I get this

    It should be doing /home/evilb0x/
    NOT home/glftpd/glftpd/site/Files/
