thats nothing to do with cpanel. try using other ftp daemons such as glftpd (www.glftpd.net) or ioftpd (er, wait, was ioftpd for windows? ahh, im confused, oh well, listing it here just in case anyone is interested). they support virtual users. not sure if proftpd does, but even if it does, i wouldn want to mess with it... touch == break =P

Unless you plan on manually modifying the permissions substantially on all of the directories (this is unix after all), you'll pretty much be limited to creating a single directory with write permissions only for that single user. Unix/Linux is far more secure than Windows (where it would be quite easy to accomplish your task [and far less secure]).Originally posted by shamend143

I installed glftpd (on a new system, had it on my old and never had this problem) and when i make a new account... I get this
