    Default users path

    one question I get asked a ton by users is what their path is, is there a way to add this to the cpanel info when the user logs in. or anything else? since we have multiple drives its not always /home/username could be /home3 etc

    If cpanel is unable to do this, then this is a feature request

    Don't you send your users a welcome email with their account information? Include their home path in that email, that's what we do anyways.

    of course we do, but as you must already know.... they either forget or lose that email and we always have them asking, if it was integrated into the cpanel on the front page like perl path is etc I'd probably get a lot less instances of that question

    Default Good Idea - here you go...

    I'm adding this to my &Server Information& section too - it's a good idea.

    &cpanel print=&$homedir&&

    Default Try this...

    Rich,

    Hopefully you're comfortable editing HTML. If so, this is pretty easy. You'll want to edit the appropriate theme. For bluelagoon (my preference) you could edit:

    /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/bluelagoon/index.html

    Find the table that has the &Sendmail Path& in it - that's the one on the left side of the screen. I just added another row under the Sendmail Path for &Home Dir Path& with the &cpanel print=&$homedir&& tag to print the variable.
