Using cPanel Login Information?

Hello,

I'm creating a support ticket center for my customers.
I would like to make the auth system of my script on a way that only valid cPanel logins can login.

This doc: http://cpanel.net/remoteaccess-php.html
is only able to list accounts etc, but I need to be able to verify a user/password and check if it is a cPanel/Unix user.

Can anyone help me out? I did some checking in the cPanel directories and files and noticed the file '/usr/local/cpanel/bin/pureauth' but I don't know if I can use it, and how to use it since my Perl skills are low

I would appreciate your help.

Can I just move my whole script into the cPanel directory?
And will it still be able to access the MySQL database with the cPanel PHP interpreter?

Move it inside the /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/ and link it in the themes. And yes it will be able to access the mysql database.
