Default Using Port 26 for SMTP

I want to use Port26 for smtp on my Cpanel server. Will must customers need to change anything in their email program, or will the server default to port 26 for smtp?

This is one of the few forums of which I am a member where I rarely receive replies to my questions. I can only assume it is one of those situations where the blind are leading the blind on this forum.

I wish I could read your post....

You need your clients to switch their smtp settings to the proper port, or you need to enable port forwarding.
