Default Using VPN, can open cpanel page, but cant connect to ftp using ftp client

    Hi guys, i need help

I am using VPN, in one of my server, i can open cpanel, but cant connect to ftp using ftp client (i already tried some ftp clients), its says like... Connection failed

No problem with the access speed, the VPN is make the access speed faster

This is just happening in one of my server, i tried connect to my other server in other place, it can open cpanel and can connect ftp using ftp client, with the same VPN

so the problem is in my first server, i already tried add the VPN ip address in CSF allow table, also disabled CSF, but still cant connect.

Please help if you have any suggestion, so i can using ftp client with VPN. Currently i can using File manager in cpanel, but it is better if i can using ftp client too

Are you certain you are using the right connection settings for FTP? You can always try to telnet using command line on port 21 to that IP to see if that works:

    Code:
    telnet IP# 21
Replace IP# with the server's IP number.

the server location is in my country

its looks like cant connect to ftp, not because using VPN, but because using ip from another country, no matter VPN or not

one of my programmer is in another country, and he need to access this server ftp, and no local VPN available in my country

is there any settings i can check in whm/ssh? the problem is only port 21 cant connect from another country, but ssh can connect from another country

    FTP
From my country, telnet ipaddress 21 is connect
From another country, telnet ipaddress 21 is NOT connect

    SSH
From my country, telnet ipaddress 22 is connect
From another country, telnet ipaddress 22 is connect

    Hello

I suggest contacting your data center to see if they are filtering traffic to port 21 from their side. It's possible you may need to provide them an IP address to whitelist, depending on their policies.

    Thank you.
