/usr/bin/GET and server security?

I wanted to see if anyone knew of any security issues with /usr/bin/GET. Since wget is often times used for attempted hacks and so forth, I'd like to know if I should consider restricting GET's usage. I have several clients that use GET in their cron jobs and I don't want to allow any potential security risks.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Wget isn't a security risk as such, it's just that it's often used with automated hacking scripts. GET isn't used as much, but there's no more or less risk in having it enabled other that as I mentioned before. Ultimately, a simple script that makes a socket connection could be used which you wouldn't be able to defend against. So, if you feel the need, feel free to disable GET since it isn't used very often, but it's probably not that much of a help as there are still so many ways around it.
