we had an account with Red Hat and the server was listed. we received the same high cpu and the same process:

    cpu 32.0 /usr/lib/rpm/rpmv -V --all

when red hat system checked our server rpm's.. we went and locked the server down oin the RJH control panel

    just a thought

    OH:
on a dual xeon server redhat 9.0 whm 8.5
