/usr partition full

Hello, we have the /usr partition full on our cpanel server.
I deleted almost all log files, but it is still high. The cpanel reports the /usr is used 84%.
But, there is something weird.
The df -sch output is:

# df -h

/dev/sda2 15G 12G 2.3G 84% /usr
/dev/sda3 11G 3.1G 6.8G 32% /var

and the
du -sch /usr output is:

]# du -sch /usr
3.1G /usr
3.1G total
Why two different tools shows different disk usage for the same partition??
How can try figure out this issue?

If it's the Apache logs you're meaning, have you restarted Apache? It'll still have the filehandles open if not.

The /usr partition has the same disk usage, 84%

/usr/local/cpanel has 1.7 GB in my server. What does it mean?
