usr/ partition full, but /home has 65 gigs free (URGENT)
Ok, it seems that our usr/ partition is competely full, but our home dir has 65 gigs free! How do i transfer that space over to the user/ parition? I have been looking for step by step instructions but most say that it could cause us to lose all of the data.
Can anyone help? Super urgent, can't do anything on the server.
Probably your log files using all the space. You can clean them up, or move them. Shouldn't be any problems with moving them to the home directory and symlinking to the new location.

If you want to move them and aren't sure how that is done, I suggest having someone do it for you.
Should I just delete the logs completely? or should i symlink them IYO?
ok i copyied the logs over, and symlinked the dir.. what should i do now? delete the logs from /usr?
