A few hours ago I started to receive a bunch of httpd failing emails so I went to SSH to try to restart the service, a few virtualhosts/Ips errors came out so I ran:
/usr/local/cpanel/bin/build_apache_conf
And it only worsened the problem. Apache is now working fine but all virtualhosts are missing except one. Every site hosted (except one) are going to the default server page.
Running again:
/usr/local/cpanel/bin/build_apache_conf
Didn't help so I went and recompiled apache. The recompiltarion was successful but but it didn't help, the problem was still there.
So, I went to edit httpd.conf manually adding every virtualhost one by one. After restarting apache everything went back to normal so I ran:
/usr/local/cpanel/bin/apache_conf_distiller --update
As per recommendation inside httpd.conf, then I ran build_apache_conf again... well, the changes were not saved, thankfully I saved a copy of the manual entries so I just copy-pasted them again.
Right now is working but now I'm just waiting for the next httpd.conf wipeout to take place on any cpanel update...
Any clues?
