VPS w/WHM & Cpanel...

Hi,

Ive never had any experience with VPS's before and am curious about what is available for use with CPanel. Does CPanel have a VPS distro?

If not, how does CPanel work with other type's of VPS like FreeVPS or Virtuozzo? Do you need to purchase a seperate CPanel license for each account on the server?

What are the pro's and cons to going with a VPS (other than seperate processes and root dirs). Is there increased maintenance?

Cpanel is available with virtuozzo. I guess cpanels well on virtuozzo VPS ofcourse with seperate cpanel licenses needed. The only drawback I have noticed is with some applications having issues with VPS environment like tomcat. Otherwise its ok.

I am using a VPS on Virtuozzo and cpanel, whm both work great for me.

no complaints running Cpanel on A VPS
tomcat can be a memory hog

I dont even run it on my ded's

You can also run cPanel on other virtual OS systems, such as UML to name one. I believe that cPanel have a special licenseing scheme for VPS servers.
