Why wouldn't you use PHP and MySQL as well for the entire site, since you've used PHP and MySQL already for the other pages? Normally, it is best to keep the same language throughout the site.

Am new to php, so i don't have a lot of information if it can deal with socket streams and multithreading and such issues... i was writing the application using vb.net but i figured out that in cpanel its not possilbe to use asp.net...
can i make a good interface and make such communication using php and some javascripts?

PHP is the most used coding language on the internet, and javascript or ajax can be used in conjunction with PHP. Since PHP is so frequently used, yes, you can create a decent interface with that language. It is likely the one you would receive the most assistance for questions due to the prevalence of sites using PHP.

If you choose to use JSP and servlets, you would need to run EasyApache in WHM > EasyApache (Apache Update) or in root SSH as /scripts/easyapache and select Tomcat in Step 5 for the Apache Short Options list.

If you do not have access to WHM and only have cPanel access, then you would need to ask your hosting provider if Tomcat is available. If it is not available, then you cannot use JSP and servlets and would need to select a more used coding language like PHP as was previously suggested.

Please contact your hosting provider if you do not have the option to use JSP and servlets. They are the only ones who will know what they provide. You cannot recompile Apache in cPanel, since that is going to require root access to the machine.

Of note, if you are simply going to use Java applets (different than servlets), those will work as they do not require JSP and servlet support.

cPanel is a software maker rather than a hosting provider. To determine who your web hosting provider happens to be, I would recommend looking at your billing records to determine who you are paying for your cPanel account. If you have misplaced your billing records, there is a website that can make an educated guess to who your web hosting provider may be at the following location:
