Default Weird login failure / password hash issue

I am experiencing the following error on my server. Some accounts can login fine while others just refuse to login. This error shows up in cpanel/logs/login_log

X.X.X.X - userid [29/Jan/2005:14:58:53 -0500] "GET / HTTP/1.1" cpanel: reseller password hash is missing from system and user pass authentication was denied
Is there any way to update the reseller password hash? I haven't found much on the forums regarding this type of issue so any replies will be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Just check whether the user is having entry in /etc/shadow. If not add a similar entry and try.

Try to copy the systax from the backup or from other user. For me the issue was fixed by adding corressponding line in the /etc/shadow file.
