What is cPanel Pro - Am I running it?

I got a server from Server Matrix with cPanel. It came with verison 8.7.1 (or something like that) I then updated it to 8.8.0

In WHM and cPanel, it says: cPanel 8.8.0-R119

Now, when I login to cpanel, at the bottom it says: cPanel Pro 0.9.9.2 (RC8)

Then it has some icon more to the right with: Submit a Support Request, Image Manager , Boxtrapper, Leech Protect

So I believe that is cPanel Pro.

I have heard of something called cPanel pro, but what exactly is it??? It looks like I have it on my server though I didnt request it. Is it now bundled with cPanel 8.8.0 or something?

cPanel Pro is just the 4 new feature you seen in the very bottom of the X skin. It's an addon and you should be able to uninstall it if you choose so.

Well, there is hardly any information about it...

I just cant figure out how I got it installed on my server. I never activated my license (http://pro.cpanel.net/activate)

I got a server from ServerMatrix and it came with cPanel 8.5.4 installed on it. A few days later I pushed the button to update cPanel. Later, after I setup my first account, I viewed the cPanel CP and I noticed cPanel Pro at the bottom. What I do not understand is: How did I get cPanel Pro in the first place? I talked with SM and support didnt know anything about it. I never Activated a license for it (http://pro.cpanel.net/activate/) So....

Is ServerMatrix now distributing cPanel Pro?

Now, if I dont want cPanel Pro, is there any way to uninstall it?

It might have been installed with the latest release build.

Its possible. Though I would have thought there would be an option to have it installed or not.

Yeah it appears it to be included as part of the latest release build (R119) by default - bit strange since Boxtrapper and Submit Support Ticket just open up blank screens... You can make the extra features disappear using the Feature Manager in WHM.

i 2 updated to the lates stable but i saw the pro icons so my guess its only a theme change and there not realy there
