Question What does this mean? [cpbackup] Setting I/O priority to reduce system load

[cpbackup] Setting I/O priority to reduce system load: best-effort: prio 3

I have never gotten this message before? Also it seems that i don't get a CRON report everyday anymore since the update? Any reason why that would change?

Out of curiosity what are your load averages looking like?

This is a brand new server with only 3 accounts on it. So the load is at .06 .01 .00right now. Good thought though.

When you mention you haven't gotten a cron report anymore, do you mean the daily upcp cron or some other cron. Please specify which report is not longer sending.

Also, can you provide your existing cPanel version:

    Code:
    cat /usr/local/cpanel/version ;echo

    I'm also seeing this.

Before the update from 11.28.x to 11.30.0 Build 23, there used to be a daily email with the subject line:
    Cron <root@****> /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/cpbackup
This email had the cpbackup log as an attachment.

Following the update, I also only get that one line in the email:
[cpbackup] Setting I/O priority to reduce system load: best-effort: prio 3

    There is no log attached.

    Current cpanel version after putting

    Code:
    cat /usr/local/cpanel/version ;echo
    I get 11.30.0.26

Every day at around 1:05 AM i got an email for the /scripts/upcp basically telling me everything it updated, now I don't after the 31st of may. Instead i can a cron email from /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/cpbackup saying

[cpbackup] Setting I/O priority to reduce system load: best-effort: prio 3

What made this change? Should i get an email for the upcp Cron jobs?

    Thanks

You should get an email for the upcp cron jobs. Try the following to see if it works again for the cron emails. First, go to WHM > Basic cPanel & WHM Setup area. Make sure the right email is listed there. Even if it is, save that area again.

Next, go to WHM > Change System Mail Preferences area and check your email is listed for each option there. Even if it is, re-save each one (by clicking "Change" button). Finally, go to WHM > Contact Manager and click the "Save" button there.

My basic WHM setup has one email address that works, and everything else is being forwarded to root@..... under the contact manager. Which they both work. Any other ways i can check this? I did however get the update script that went to my junk mail. Which is only one day (today). Lets see if I get a cron job script tomorrow i guess.

Did you re-save every area? The only ticket I've had so far where I tried to troubleshoot this happening, re-saving each of those sections allowed the email to be sent again (I didn't know specifically which one might be the issue as I only had one machine with the issue reported to troubleshoot).

I have re-saved all the email addresses again, even though they were the same. Should I create a ticked if this does not work?

Must be something else than mail-sending problem.
    I have WHM 11.30.0 (build 26) - CENTOS 5.5 x86_64 standard

From 06-02-2011 I receive the same mail ([cpbackup] Setting I/O priority to reduce system load: best-effort: prio 3) but I also receive three more mails:

    Date 06-05-2011
Subject [cpbackup] Backup complete on xxx.xxx.gr
    *** message body ***
Please see the attached log file.
(and the log file of the backup is attached)

Note: 3 days later, the same body, different subject

    And upcp related:

From a quick analysis it seems a patch may have broken the email log attachment portion. The backup is still running. Since I found this email tedious to begin with (hey, just email me when it breaks!) I am considering this low priority.

So update after re saving the email addresses now it works like a charm. Now I am getting my CRON job upcp, it is however in a different formant. Looks easier to read so fine by me. second update the update turned off my ioncube setting in cpanel, so once i fixed that. Everything worked fine. I am still getting the
