Default What happens here? Perform a DNS Cleanup

Not much are said in the manual except that DNS is cleaned. But what happens. Is the content of a file wiped out or is this something that should be done from time to time? What if servers are having a trust relationship established? Would it then harm doing this. Sorry, but I haven't tried this function before and I've never been good guessing or reading between the lines.

    Thanks
    John

It looks at each zone file and ensures that there are no eroneous entries in it and fixes (cleans) them up if nessecary.

    Default drawbacks?

    Any drawbacks to running this?
I'm scared to do it because WHM cautions you about it.

    Are there any potential problems?

If the file is updated/modified while you are performing a cleanup, there could be issues.

Basically I think what happens is when you start a cleanup, the file is not able to be "locked". So if it's modified while a cleanup is in progress, ya could get some majorally funky results.

That's my take on it anyway.

There's really no drawbacks to running it, but there is a catch. If a Reseller is adding a new account or a Client is adding/deleting a Sub-domain/Add domain, it could cause a problem.

The bright side is that it (usually) takes less than 30 seconds to finish.
