    Default What has happened to my websites??

    I have about 10 websites that are hosted on the same server and as of early this morning half of them are not working. Instead of pulling up the website like normal an "opening" window loads and attempts to download the file (sometimes unknown format). Just yesterday the sites were working. You can see an example at my debt-consolidation website (see below) and also my talkhunting forum which you can reach the homepage on it for some reason but whenever you click on a thread on the site it prompts a download. I am lost and appreciate any help you can provide

    Thanks

    If, as you say, it happened out of the blue last night then do a /scripts/upcp --force at the command prompt in shell. This will rsync your cPanel/whm install with the build you are currently using. Has been known to fix issues like this as it checks for errors in your httpd.conf file.

    If this does not fix it post back and someone will take a closer look at your issue for you as all help in here is voluntary.

    Can you please check if the php sites are the one that is having the problem or the issue is for html sites as well randon. If the issue is only for the php sites, please make sure php is working on the server, ie the php module is enabled. Please let us know. I have a feeling that is the issus. But can't confirm with out checking.

    Please make sure in the httpd.conf that the phpmodule is enabled. If not try recompiling the apache with php enabled again.

    It is a problem with your php module not loaded.

    Have alook in httpd.conf for

    LoadModule php4_module modules/libphp4.so

    If not add it and restart httpd, if it is loaded and is just not working you will need to recompile php, run /scripts/easyapache.

    Also while you are either adjusting httpd.conf or updating you may want to add mod_rewrite under the
    <Directory />

    to redirect all php scripts too an offline page so people cannot see your database information.

    Check your httpd.conf for the following lines: http://php.net/manual/en/install.unix.php
