Default What kicks in port sentry config changes?

    Hello,

After making changes to port sentry (cpanel's firewall) do you need to reboot the computer or is there a command to make the settings work instantly.

Also anyone know the location of the docs for port sentry, Cisco's website is impossible to navigate.

    Thanks, Charles

good luck finding anything on cisco's site about portsentry....

cisco has taken portsentry off the open-source market and are incorporating it into thier hardware solutions....

(btw, if you do find something at cisco about portsentry....post it please...)

Ahhh makes more since now why it couldn't find it there

Here is the article I found on the "how to start" options, it's got some other nice details as well.

    quick question..

What's the differance if any, between these two blocked i.p's in the hosts.deny file?

    ALL: ***.***.**.***
    ALL: ***.***.***.*** : ALL

one has ALL: in front and back one has it only in the back.

It looks like the port sentry config file only uses one :ALL in the back. Yet I see several with two in the hosts.deny file.

    Curios ,

    Thanks..
