    Default What are these lines doing in /var/spool/cron/root?

    0 3 * * * /scripts/upcp
    0 0 * * * /scripts/fixquotas
    */30 * * * * /usr/sbin/exim -qf& 1)
    2,58 * * * * /usr/local/bandmin/bandmin 2)
    0 0 * * * /usr/local/bandmin/ipaddrmap 3)
    */5 * * * * /usr/local/cpanel/bin/dcpumon >/dev/null 2>&1 4)

    I'm not sure what 1) 2) 3) and 4) are doing here. I believe 1) is something with emptying the mail queue. Is this correct?

    Also, how do I change the daily backups to weekly (nightly) backups. The daily /scripts/upcp are currently doing nightly backups.

    Will this change the daily backup to a weekly backup done monday (=1) in the middle of the night? :

    0 3 * * 1 /scripts/upcp

    Thanks
    John

    Default

    upcp updates cPanel to the latest version.
    fixquotas has to do with quotas/used disk space
    exim is the mailer (sendmail replacement)
    bandmin has to do with bandwidth- updating stats
    The others are needed tasks. You can adjust most things in WHM under Tweak Settings- you shouldnt have to touch that file
