Question What will be the primary & secondary resolver?

    Hello,

I just installed cPanel in my vps.

During first using, initial setup prompt me to provide Primary & Secondary Resolver.

But I am not sure what it will be.

Can anybody help me on this?

    Regards

It depends. Are you running a name server on the VPS? If so one of them can be 127.0.0.1 (localhost)

Non-local resolvers can be the ones provided by the people leasing you the server (in the case of a dedicated box or a VPS) or the data center (in the case of a colocated box).

In a pinch, or for testing purposes, you can use any open DNS server. I often use the Level3 machines 4.2.2.2 thru 4.2.2.5 (there might be more - I never checked)
