Looks good but still the same general layout of WHM. Anyway to totally change it? Maybe iconify it or something.

Its going to get changed for cpanel5 .... I think
Probaby a stupid question from a self-confessed newbie to WHM/CPanel, but is 4.7.0 going to arrive via the auto-update feature, or will we have to install manually?
It will automatically update. If you look at your cronjobs for root, you will see something being run:
/scripts/upcp
This updates all backend software, including WHM.

Awesome.. It'll be good if we don't have to scroll just to find stuff.
On your screenshot there is category Plugins and subcat Install Servlets...on my WHM I can't find it under any WHM theme...is it some beta feature or am I missing something?
I run Cpanel 4.7.0-17

The server has JSP enabled. Download the jsp module under layer1 and install it. This will give you those options
Can you sort the option in left left bar alphabetically, or into groups for similar sections?
