Firstly, I don't think Edge will fix it..

Secondly. What exactly are the problems people are facing?

Our R72 boxes had problems with quotas being doubled under special circumstances..but that's about all..The rest was resolved.

    Angry WHM latest release

Just applied the latest WHM upgrade to one of my backup servers (RH9) and guess what - it screwed up and will not respond on ports 2082 / 2086 / 2095 - good job it wasn't a live box - what do we do now ? as I am putting this nowhere near a live box untill we have a stable release of this

    Angry

    Apparaently cPanel has forgotten us.
Just checked the mail queue.. some mails have been there 4 days now.. This is not acceptable. We've given cPanel enough days to build the fix. Why nothing has happened??

Answer of any kind would be nice from administrators..

This is not good for anyone's business!

I installed cPanel to get rid of all of these "little bumps" and to ease my duties, so I can focus to more important things than reinstalling and reconfiguring servers all the time.

I hope to get the solutions to this problem soon...
And, bailey, because you're such an expert, would you mind to dig the net for us.......

    It's alive!! It's alive!!

    Reinstalling exim worked for me.
    /scripts/exim4
There's also exim4-rh73test. If exim4 won't work, you might want to try that test version. I heard that it worked too.

Now, my mails seem to work. A couple hundred error messages from my cpanel system in my inbox now..

Hopefully this trick does it for you too.

I've been having problems all weekend, as well.

After running the script at the beginning of this post, I get this:

    PHP Code:
Waiting for access to the update server......
    Fetching [url]http://httpupdate.cpanel.net/cpanelsync/STABLE-FREEBSD/cpanel/.cpanelsync.lock....100%......Done[/url]
Waiting for access to the update server......
    Fetching [url]http://httpupdate.cpanel.net/cpanelsync/STABLE-FREEBSD/cpanel/.cpanelsync.lock....100%......Done[/url]
Waiting for access to the update server......
And it does that for hours.

Users not getting email, can't access WHM... Big saddness.

Also... Cron is giving me this error:

    /usr/local/cpanel/bin/dcpumon >/dev/null 2>&1
    Segmentation fault (core dumped)

    Default Me three

I've been bitten by this too, I've tried all the suggested fixes and right now WHM kinda works, it doesn't display the build number anymore, and my re-install of exim didn't take. cPanel is down on all domains, all that is returned is a blank page. Now applying the suggested fixes over the weekend was fruitless, lot's of errors in getting packages.

This morning I tried applying the fixes again, and I got a lot further, but the upcp script kept looping on fixing dependancies.

My system is WHM/cPanel 9.1.0 S73 on Fedora Core 1.

cPanel has responded to my ticket, and is working the issue.

    Let's hope it get resolved

Luckily this is a fairly new box with only a couple of domains right now, so I at least have some time to burn, this would have been really painful if I'd moved a bunch of other domains to this box!

    Thanks Bailey,

The thread title doesn't mention anything about OS, just about WHM/Cpanel upgrade problems; of which I have been affected.

A reboot did not help. Still:

attempting to fetch .cpanelsync.lock.Waiting for access to the update server......

I hate to open tickets, because I know they are swamped... But if we can't get answers in the forums...

just upgraded the server to latest soft ware with this info:
dell dual xeon server with the following software
    WHM 9.1.0
    cPanel 9.1.0-S73
    RedHat 9
    WHM X v2.1.2

    my ips:
    ip1
    ip2
    ip3

when the update finsihed i entered the first time in whm asked me to input ns1, ns2 and ns3 ips.
    I gave ns1 a ip4? and ns2 ip5? and ns3 empty field.

so i started the update manualy again from cpanel.
again I did this 2 or 3 times because of imap failure I gave up wrong ips again.
Then I noticed at ev1server member section ns1 is at ip1 and not ip4? and ns2 is at ip2 and not ip5?.
ip5? has something like 123-123-123-ada.net name in it at members section?

so I went manual editting the files below and the changes are still there the look like this:

    pico /etc/nameserverips
    allotipshere=0
    ip1=NS1.domain.COM (manual changed from ip4? to ip1)
    ip2=NS2.domain.COM (manual changed from ip5? to ip2)
    ip5?=0

    pico /etc/wwwacct.conf
    ADDR ip1 <<standard ip1 is this oke?
    AIMPASS removed
    AIMUSER removed
    BINDVER 8
    CONTACTAIM removed
    CONTACTEMAIL myemail
    CONTACTPAGER removed
    CONTACTUIN removed
    DEFMOD x
    ETHDEV
    FTPTYPE proftpd
    HOMEDIR /home
    HOMEMATCH home
    HOST hostname
    ICQPASS removed
    ICQUSER removed
    LOGSTYLE combined
    MINUID
    NS NS1.domain.COM
    NS2 NS2.domain.COM
    NS3
    SCRIPTALIAS y
    ns4

    pico /etc/resolv.conf
nameserver ip1 (manual changed from ip4? to ip1)
nameserver ip2 (manual changed from ip5? to ip2)

I searched the forums everything is looking how it's supposed to be but wen I enter WHN I go to:
    Server Setup
    Edit Setup
Primary Nameserver: ns1 with the ip4? and not ip1
Secondary Nameserver:ns2 with the ip5? and not ip2

    how to solve this??
    but my sites are working??

Any help and information would be greatfull!
