Default WHM and CentOS Repos, Can I use yum to install mod_suphp?

Ok, I'm pretty new to linux and I'm wondering if I can use 3rd-party repos to install things like mod_suphp WITHOUT using EasyApache to rebuild everything.

The thing is I want to install mod_suphp but I want to install it via yum, but when I do so I get a dependency error. Now I found out that I need another repo:

    1) To get the latest version of mod_suphp RPM enable the Atomic Repository for Yum.

My question is, will this break anything? How can I disable this repo afterwards?

EasyApache builds Apache and PHP from source. Please be aware that attempting to use RPM package for Apache- and PHP-related items will break the integration with cPanel, you will almost certainly encounter dependency issues, and we will not be able to support any issues caused by this type of configuration.

Please also note that this has been mentioned as a feature request:

You may want to also post on that thread. This is actually already being considered by our developers, but your input will help to gauge overall interest in a possible change to using RPM packages instead of building from source.
