    Default WHM Logout

Am I missing something, or is there no way to logout of WHM other than closing all browser windows?

For me it's extremely inconvenient to close ALL open browser windows when I want to logout of WHM.

Can we see a "logout" feature added to WHM?

    Thanks,
    Russell

I know -- seems crazy that a useful security feature like this is not yet there... especially when considering how easy I'm sure it would be.

Also, a login timeout option would be nice on WHM and CPanel, so the session expires after a configured amount of time... but I'd say the WHM logout option takes priority.

WHM doesn't use sessions at all but basic HTTP authentication. Actually, the lack of logout capability is a limitation of existing browsers, not WHM.

I agree with you, however with Apache, writing custom handlers, you can "expire" HTTP authentication session logins.

WHM/CPanel is a custom server written by DarkORB (not running through apache, right?), but they should be able to incorporate this functionality as well.

Also, CPanel does allow users to "log out" -- so DarkORB is obviously capable of this sort of thing. WHM should allow it also.

Both ideas of having a WHM logout feature and a time logout feature are a good idea, maybe this is more important to clients as I personally wouldn't go on to my WHM without being on my own computer...

What's the current "proper" way to submit this as an official feature request?

    Thanks,
    Russ
