    Exclamation WHM Navigation

Navigating WHM's Menu makes no sense at all.

This is something that has bothered me for a while but I just accepted it and moved on. At our last meeting someone asked me "why isn't it alphabatized?"...

After thinking about it for a couple of days I dont see any reason why it couldn't be alphabetized and I think it would make it easier to navigate for everyone. Actually having some sorting options similar to the new CPANEL menu system with collapsible sections and drag-able field orders might take it that one step farther..

How the heck is it sorted now?
It just doesn't seem to make any sense at all.

Maybe I just got used to the menue, but for me, I don't think it would be easier when it would be in alphabetical order...

I been in cPanel for many years now so like many others, I can probably click blindly and know where everything is.

For fast navigation, I would suggest using Firefox. If you do already, then setup "find as you type" option and grab the extention called FAYT.

So for fast navigation such as "list accounts", I just type the first two letters such as li and the first link to list accounts is highlighted, hit enter and you are there.

With the FAYT extention, you can then click at the bottom to "Highlight all" and everything in the criteria you type will be highlighted. Its very handy, I cant live without FAYT.

Check it out. Sure its no internal solution but it beats hunting for something you know a partial name of.

The latest EDGE (16078) has a Search box added to the WHM Sidebar which will help with some navigation.
