Default whm not responding root pass changed

Hi. I have a problem. WHM stopped responding. When i tried to login SSH, i recognized that my pass was changed. But nobody is logging thru SSH because it automatically sends email and there is no email.

i requested data center guys to change my root password and requested a reboot. after reboot problems are gone. but after sometime it happened again. what can be the source of this problem? noone have shell access to server. can it be an exploit?

ps: there is no "hacked" web page. everything (links, ftp access, mails) works fine.

    help pls..

Secure your SSH Server, put it on a non-standard port and choose a strong password.

From what it seems you just havn't correctly setup and secured your machine. In most cases a Reboot is the worst thing you can do to *Solve* a problem, it only delays it.
