WHM randomly stoped working

Hello,

We were doing account transfers from one server to a new server and today we notice that WHM has stoped working, after rebooting the box it still wont come up. It was working last night and over the night it has shut down. Anyone have any ideas on possible reasons or solutions? Thanks in advance.

I have tried

service cpanel restart
It ran but didnt start WHM: I also ran:

/scripts/fixeverything
/scripts/upcp
/scripts/updatenow --force

then rebooted the server.


any other ideas?

this just started tonight. I'm on current build.

Is it down on both ports 2086 and 2087
Try restarting cpanel.

Have you tried a different build?

If it still doesnt work
run update; upcp --force thrice

well... I don't knon what happened. I had four servers all behaving the same way (no cpanel or WHM, but everything else worked fine).

I did the following commands on one of the servers...
/etc/init.d/xinetd stop
/etc/init.d/cpanel restart

strangely... this fixed not only my first server, but also all three of the other ones. I'm not really sure this is what fixed my problem though. I have a feeling there was some port filtering applied by the data center that just got removed.
