Default WHM "Restore a Full Backup/cpmovefile" bug

    hi there

I don't know if anyone else has seen this but it's annoying.

I place my backup tarballs in /home. Sometimes when I use this feature it says no tarball is found. Annoyingly it then deletes the tarball in /home. So I have to remember to copy the tarball over again or get it from backp.

This is happening mainly in IE8/Vista but also happens less frequently in Safari.

    Cheers

To confirm, this tarball was generated by the Download/Generate A Full Backup feature in cPanel? Additionally, the account is not restored? I know after an account restoration, the tarball will be deleted from /home.

Hi there, yes, that's correct in both cases. The tarball is deleted immediately and the account is not restored. I submitted a request but no solution could be found. Just wondered out of curiosity whether others had experienced. It may be due to Vista running low on memory.

You may want to look in /var/cpanel/logs to see if there's any relevant logs regarding this account restoration.

When you said you submitted a request, are you referring to a support request with our technical analysts? If not, I recommend working with them on this so this can be diagnosed and resolved. You can contact our technical analysts at http://tickets.cPanel.net/submit
