WHM Service monitor log questions

Service monitor sent me 4 emails/txt messages saying that services have failed and have been restarted. My question is does anyone know where the log files are? I want to see why it failed, and research how I can prevent it in the future... it was kinda random to see my box go down for no apparent reason.

The services that failed are:

bind
apache
cppop
cpsrvd

WHM now shows green lights for everything.

/var/log/chkservd.log

but it does not tell you anything other than it restarted

if you need a snap shot of what was hapening when it happened install SIM it will show you unless chkservd restarts it first or just view var/log/messages at the time of the crash
