WHM SSL issue

Unfortunatly I am having problems setting up an SSL. I believe my actions where quite logical and have asked my NOC who are also confused. I have seen other people's issues quickly resolved here and hoped somebody could help with my issue outlined below.

I recently installed a Thawte SSL for a customer. When attempting to access the domain a prompt saying the domain didn't match the SSL appeared. It was attempting to use the wrong SSL licence. The domain was on a shared IP so I moved it to its own via WHM however now the domain dows not even resolve to http trafic, though this could be a propergation issue. Using lynx from the server works on http but not https.

I also tried adding the SSL as www.dom.com aswell as dom.com from WHM. At present both are there as the SSL does not show from the SSL hosts menu though it does show from the SSL manager menu (which only has the option to view / download the fiels).

When changing the IP address and you could not see your site that is definetly a propagation issue.

The domain needs to be on its own IP address like you have already done.

But after that did you try and reinstall the Certificate?

If you let me know the domain name then I can go to the https and see what error comes up in the browser this would help to let you know what the problem is.

Your correct, the problem was that the SSL needed to be reinstalled. Now it has its own IP and this change has propergated the domain is listed in WHM and therefore I am able to delete and reinstall it.
