Default why cpanel processes are taking load on server?

    Hello,

Currently we are facing load problem on our server and when we check for processes in TOP command,we found the process name "cpanellogd" and it is upgrading bandwidth of users which are on server.

    So my question is ---
1- when this cpanlelogd process start why it is taking load on server?
2- How to maintain server load at this time?
3- What is the ultimate solution for this?

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Sachin

Please check WHM tweak setting there is something option like suspend logging when server load is above 50%. or something like that enable it.

    Hi,

There must be option in WHM tweak setting as mentioned below:

The load average above the number of cpus at which logs file processing should be suspended
    -

Suspends log file processing when the server load average is greater than the number entered in the adjacent field

    thx

It's perfectly normal to have 'spikes' in your Server Load. Peak visitor times, log processing, database backup scripts, automated cron jobs - all can cause 'spikes' in your server load. It's when the server load is constantly above 5.00 - that's the time to start asking questions. To reduce load, in this case, upgrade your hardware by adding more RAM and/or bigger HD(s).
