Why does Courier imap_emptytrash not work??

The imap_emptytrash setting found in /usr/lib/courier-imap/etc/imapd doesn't seem to work.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

This is a quite old, but, i have the same problem here.

the IMAP_EMPTYTRASH not work.
