Why does cpanel required the old password to change in cpanel but not 4 root in whm?

    Default Why does cpanel required the old password to change in cpanel but not 4 root in whm?

    Why does cpanel required the old password to change the password in cpanel for the users but the old password is not required to change the root password in whm?

    To me it seems like if anything more security should be provided for the root password.

    Does anyone have any ideas on this?

    Why not you reset the password and ask user reset through cPanel?
