Why The Mail dont work ?

Hello


I'am a few user today have contact me .. that when someone try to regisiter in their website Etc.. it dont send the Acitve code..

So i have checked the WHM if there is anything is messing but i see everythign work fine.

but i dontno how The mail dont need ot be Send via PHP ?

any idea please ?

Hey,

Could you please check the following option in WHM >> Server Setup >> Tweak Settings >> Mail and untick the following check box

[Prevent the user 'nobody' from sending out mail to remote addresses (php and cgi scripts generally run as nobody if you are not using phpsuexec and suexec respectively.)]

I ADD the Right and i go check .. in my live board if the email work or not..and still not working and remove the right check .. and go again to see if it work or not

Hello,

Normaly php and cgi scripts works as user nobody.
so you should uncheck the box and try again.
Did you check the exim_main log of that server?. It will help you to solve this issue.

And also check this apache error log.
What is the permission of your cgi scripts?.
Run this command and paste the result here
ls -l <your cgi filename>

Please check the ownership and permission of your cgi scripts.
The Cgi scripts permission should be 755

May be this will help you to solve this issue.

hello when i copy and pest it in putty this is what it give me

root@Host [~]# ls -l <your cgi filename>
-bash: syntax error near unexpected token `newline'

any idea

when you see <your script cgi dir>
you must change " <your script cgi dir> " to your CGI SCRIPT DIR
do not type <your script cgi dir> cause it don´t exist.

i try everything and the email still not working it dont send via php .. dont anyone have any idea why this Problem we try know about week to fix this problem and we can't finger out what happen.. please help in this

If you don't know your way around the Linux root shell you should really look at buying some server admin time or asking your server provider if you lease as you're not going to be able to muddle through this. Bijo has told you want you need to do, which is to check your scripts and then tail your mail log in /var/log/exim_mainlog and apache error log in /etc/httpd/logs/error_log and watch for errors as you do it. These should give you an idea of where the problem is.
