    Default wild card dns

    Hi,

Can i do wildcard dns in WHM??

Wildcard DNS entries are configured in your domain's zone file. The zone file is located on the server that handles DNS for your domain. To activate wildcard DNS simply add the following line (or equivalent) to your zone file:
    *.yourdomain.com. IN A 123.45.678.9

    http://nextportal.com/quickcode/inst...uirements.html

Is wildcard DNS ok to use on a shared server?

Yep, although we do not recommend adding to the domain that has the nameservers. We have seen some flaky things with that. Otherwise it works great, we have modified wwwacct to do it by default on all new accounts.
