    Default Windows Login Pop-Up

    Hi everyone,

Is there a way to get rid of the Windows login pop-up for cPanel and webmail, and instead have the user go directly to the cPanel login screen?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Jose

The HTTP Authentication window (what you call "Windows login pop-up") should be authenticating users, avoiding the need to view any login screen.

However, if you wish to not use HTTP authentication in favor of the lesser secure Cookie-based authentication, you can change that via WHM -> Server Configuration -> Tweak Settings -> System and check the setting for Disable Http Authentication for cPanel/WebMail/WHM Logins (forces cookie authentication) - be sure to click save at the bottom of that page.

    Hi David,

Thanks for the reply. If HTTP authentication is more secure, then I'll definitely keep using that!

    Regards,

Actually, when you click 'cancel' you default to cookie authentication with that form.
