Default WWW.domain.com slower to resolve than domain.com after a transfer

    Any DNS experts out there?

I've just moved a hosting account from server A to server B using the WHM 'Copy an account from another server' service.

I'm running some tests, including pinging www.domain.com and domain.com, and noticing that domain.com has resolved quickly to the new IP and www.domain.com has not (yet).

Can anyone tell me a) why there is this discrepancy and b) can I do anything to ensure that they both resolve to the new IP together?

My hunch is that it's just 'one of those DNS things' that I'm powerless to do anything about :-)

    Thanks for you feedback.

Assuming that your zone files are correct, your assumption would be right. Just a matter of TTL and cacheing. That it resolves to the new server at all, indicates that you are headed in the right direction
