www prefix showing "Great Success" page

hi,

Ok my problem is that when i enter say, http://www.mydomain.com it shows the WHM Great Success! page rather than the site its self, how ever if i just enter the domain without the prefix (http://mydomain.com) it works as it should.

I'v checked the link for the www to public_html and its fine.

can anyone tell me whats going wrong?

I have just updated apache and php to the latest (Apache HTTP Server: 2.2.9 | PHP: 5.2.6)

if i try and access a file directly say, www.mydomain.com/index.php it dose give a 403 permission error, so its finding the files just not giving access

make sure that you have cname setup for www to domainname at the dns zone for the domail. The etnry in dns zone should look like


www IN CNAME domainname.com.

ofcourse, replace the domainname.com with the name of your domain. You can manage the dns zone from WHM
