wwwacct Problems

Well have two of them.


1, chattr -i wwwacct this does not work it keeps permissions at 700 and will not let us over write file. we have also tried
chattr -i /scripts/wwwacct

2. We believe this problem is due to having a older version of the wwwacct file bit not sure. We use modernbill while back there was a problem with this file and mb putting garage in the ip field in modernbill so we used this older version to avoid the problem. Now however when we create a account from modernbill the cpanel account creation gives us a default password it seems on all new account setups this is the password it gives.

but modernbill still has the same password that it created. so we go into whm and change the password. This just started happening 2 days ago.

Hoping someone can help. Think first thing is to someone get the wwwacct to un chattr then we could upcp and over write it and try it.

If you do a:

lsattr /scripts/wwwacct

you will see something like:

-----i-------

If you have chattr +i 'd the file...

When removing the chattr, you should see:

------------

If not, you might be left with the letter 'a'. Try a:

chattr -a /scripts/wwwacct

And see if that helps
