yum to apt-get howto?

yum to apt-get howto?

you know how the cpanel installer uses YUM for fedora , how do i change YUM to apt-get instead? I don't like how YUM does it.

Anyway of doing this??

Just uninstall yum and install apt from rpm and configure it to your liking.. its not exactly rocket science.. especially when dealing with rpms.

i know how to use uninstall yum and install apt-get.

the point is that cpanel uses yum by default. how do i change that to apt-get for all their installer and scripts? is there a setting in cpanel i can set??

This should do it:

rm -f /var/cpanel/useyum
touch /var/cpanel/useapt

On second thought, im not sure if the above is even used anymore. What happens when you run upcp now that apt is installed ?

whenever i run
./sysup

it uses yum

./upcp

it uses yum

sh latest

it uses yum

how do i prevent it from using yum and let it uses apt-get.
