    Default yum.conf

Can somebody share his(her) yum.conf for Fedora Core 1? I setup servers, but I am not sure about excludes. Which ones should I use?

Here's the exlusion list that I used on Fedora (which I've updated to include recent issues):

exclude=httpd* perl* mysql* php* mod_ssl* imap* spamassassin* squirrelmail*

Sorry that I open an old topic like this, but i was searching exactly for this. Would it not make sense to include also kernel* to this line?

I don't like the idea that yum is also updating my kernel durring the night.

Yes, that would be sensible. My latest list I posted:

That's for up2date, but you can just sub the semi-colon for a space and use it in the yum exclude list
