Default zziplib and PHP --with-zip support? (undefined function: zip_open())

I have downloaded and installed zziplib-0.10-82 to my FreeBSD 5.3 system with cPanel 10.2.0-R82. However, I cannot seem to get php compiled with zziplib.

    I've tried:
    /usr/home/cpapachebuild/buildapache/php-4.3.11/configure

with all current options plus --with-zip but when I run /scripts/easyapache again with options 5 the zip support does not appear to get installed.

Can someone please provide me with directions on how to get zip support compiled in PHP so I can use zziplib?

    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

    Smile Where's the beef?

I have checked off the option in the cPanel apache build to install the "Zip" feature, and I have installed these RPM's:

    zziplib-0.13.38-1.2.el4.rf
    zziplib-devel-0.13.38-1.2.el4.rf

I also recompiled Apache & PHP just to make sure that PHP recognized the zziplib-devel. Also, a file with phpinfo(); in it states that PHP was compiled with the option --with-zip. However, when I run a script with zip_open I get this message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: zip_open()

Anyone know how to solve this mystery?

I have searched the forum and also found this thread:

    problems with php zip_open

unfortunatelty it did not solve my problem.

    Thanks.

I'm doing the same thing, getting no zip love using the apache update. Kind of annoying. After the build phpinfo() doesn't list zip as a section just zlib.
