Adding new icons to cPanel branded themes

I see that the icons used in the cPanel interface are " sprites "

I am looking to add some new icons but can only seem to edit the current and not add.

Does anyone know how to go about adding new ones?

Take a look at the screenshot. You will see the empty space for new icons or " sprites " What we are looking for is correct steps to customizing and adding new icons here.

To add icons to those existing sections, you would just create cPanel Plugins. There's some documentation on this and a link to the plugin installation file generator at cPanel & WHM's SDK
